Our Authenticity Standards
The calligraphy community rightly scrutinises nib quality, material finish, and consistency — because these directly affect how a pen performs. At Oriandcalli, we stock only branded materials from recognised manufacturers, and we buy through established supplier channels. Below is a factual account of how we source what we sell and what you receive.
How We Source Named Brands
Every branded nib and tool we carry — including Zebra G nibs, Hunt 101 nibs, Nikko G, Brause, and others — is procured from authorised distributors or established wholesale suppliers who deal directly with these manufacturers. We do not source from unverified third-party marketplaces. When a product listing carries a brand name, that is the brand whose product is in the package.
What You Receive
- Nibs and pens in their original manufacturer packaging where applicable.
- Products inspected for visible defects before dispatch.
- Accurate quantity counts — multi-nib packs are verified before sealing.
Material and Finish Consistency
Named nibs such as the Zebra G and Hunt 101 are manufactured to consistent specifications by their respective makers. Variations in flex, tine gap, and finish exist across production batches — this is normal for hand-finished dip nibs — but the nibs you receive are the genuine article from that brand.
Raising a Concern
If you receive a product and have a genuine concern about what you have been sent — wrong brand, mislabelled quantity, or unexpected finish — please contact us with your order number and a photograph. We will review the issue against our supplier records and resolve it promptly. We do not ask you to return an item before we have reviewed your concern.
