The look of the pen is very similar to the Lamy pens, but the writing feel is totally different. The pen has a very slight scratchiness / feedback that is very similar to some of my vintage pens.
The flex nib doesn't have the range of a noodlers, but has none of the finickiness of those pens.
I really enjoy writing with this pen and am happy to have it in my rotation. The feel is a nice change coming from the super smooth modern nibs.
Arrived very quickly, as described. This is a gift so I have not used it, but it does look very impressive. I would recommend this company.
I’m really impressed with the customer service and quick response from Ori & Calli. I love the pen – the best part is that it works well with calligraphy ink, as long as it’s not too thick. Overall, it’s a great pen; the nib is flexible and the ink flows smoothly. I’d definitely love to purchase more in the future!!
The very first thing I must say is that never have I experienced this level of customer care as with Oriandcall. They are incredibly fast, responsive and helpful. And the goods are definitely on the same level.
As with any new tool the Flex pen is - at least for me - a hard one to learn, albeit I have to say I tried it just a couple of days. I fell in love with that pen as one can draw narrow, precise lines and yet, just changing the pressure, have broader line that are controllable. That is in the videos, alas, I am not there yet. I will buy few other Oriandcalli flex pens and find out the true power of those combined lines. There's a picture where I am now, sorry sod. But time will heal and practice is a must. Looking forward to learning this art.
Nice experience. Deckled edge papers are awesome ☺️. Thickness and quality both are perfect. Surely recommended for calligraphy and printing.
