The flex pen arrived nicely wrapped - I filled it up with Azure blue (also ordered) and was surprised to see how nicely the pen behaved, with my thin strokes being very thin and pressure working exactly as expected.
Do note though that with a nib this thin, the pen can be scratchy so you'll need to use it on paper that isn't too thin or coarse.
I'm delighted with my new flex pen and have already ordered another in the piston filler version. The flex is real and the flow of ink sufficient to write at a reasonable speed. Thanks very much!
If like me you’re trying to learn a script whilst juggling a full time job, a life etc it’s of great benefit to have lining guides like these to quickly line up a sheet. I ordered the copperplate and Spencerian sets at the same time to give myself enough flexibility on x-heights and was surprised that they came in a nice bag as it makes it easier to carry them in. Would recommend them to anyone.
I’m very happy with this pen. You just need the right quality of paper matching with the nib.
With practice you will feel how the flex works.
Absolutely recommended.
